Brian Donat

Brian Donat is a full-time freelance cellist who moved to Rochester in 2017, after 10 years of living and working in the Adirondack region of NY. 

An alum of Houghton College and the Meadowmount School of Music, he maintains a large private teaching studio, as well as teaching at Hobart And William Smith Colleges, and at St. Peter’s Community Arts Academy in Geneva NY. As a freelance musician, Brian is in high demand with area orchestras, musical theater productions, and weddings, along with churches, ballets, funerals, choirs, festivals, and recording studios. His performances in Italy and Australia, included playing his cello on top of a mountain, on three islands, in countless fields, and in two castles. 

Brian lives in Webster, NY, with his wife, Jolene, and their dog, Crindy, and together, they enjoy hiking, biking, running, cross country skiing.
