MFA exhibitions from the Division of 陶瓷艺术 (CA), 电子综合艺术 (EIA) and Sculpture / Dimensional Studies (SDS) are held on campus. 绘画 MFA Alfred/Düsseldorf exhibitions will be held in Germany this spring, and a selection of work will be on view in the summer months in our galleries.

Exhibition receptions will be held on Saturdays from 6-8pm, with the exception of the last exhibition, 哪个星期五开门. An online catalog of graduate student work is posted here usually a week after commencement.

With the installation of handbuilt ceramic objects, I create my own world in order to reexamine the world in which we live. The work is built on a large scale to consume the viewer, creating a magnetism. I approach heavy topics using humor creating esthetic distance. With recognizable objects and abstract forms used as symbols, and my use of scale to distort perspectives, I create a deeply saturated color that emphasizes this hyperreality to entrance the viewer.

A very faint wash of white is painted on top following the same flow. The sanded gesso adds a texture to the wash, showing fine creases of white gesso. On the bottom and to the center right is a shape with clean taped edges, creating a slight raise of surface. The shapes are made up of pastel cobalt 蓝色的 (purple tone cool 蓝色的) with pastel lime 绿色 shapes. A white wavy grid is painted on top. The combination of the 蓝色的, 绿色, and white grids mimic a strange view of earth from space.
